David B. Young is intrigued with anything using a signal to produce a result. From a young age he could analyze and repair radios and amplifiers. In his teen years, he first started installing music systems, before moving on to larger sound systems in churches and auditoriums. David operated sound in church, FOH for bands and performance venues in his home town of Shreveport, Louisiana. He later attended LSU for computer science before moving to Nashville.

In 1986, David enrolled in Nashville Technical College to increase his knowledge of circuits. He also started in a career for Low Voltage Contracting, at one of the largest companies in the Southeast. While working a full time job, he went back to school, enrolling at a local film school, Watkins Art Institute majoring in Photography and Video.

After, 14 years of large company experience, David ventured out, and in June 2000 he founded Pierremont Acoustics, LLC. He built a reputable, quality company with a long list of notable clients. He grew the Company so much that its services broadened. In 2012, he rebranded the company as Pierremont Media Group, Inc. to cover the larger base of services the Company provides, including: sound/audio, visual/video, lighting, web hosting, graphic design, live sound and video production and finally digital signage.
